Meet Dr. Veleas

My Story:

I first decided to become a chiropractor when I was playing football and lifting weights for bodybuilding back in high school. My back was killing me- I could barely get in and out of the car sometimes. So, even though I didn’t want to go, my mom made me. I was afraid the chiropractor was just going to tell me to stop lifting weights and stop playing football. Instead, he told me “No, I want you to be able to lift MORE weight and play football better!” After hearing him say that, I knew this was a perfect fit for me as a profession. And this is the philosophy I still live by to this day.

I now train jiu jitsu and Crossfit, and I never like taking time off from the gym. And believe me, these activities give me my fair share of injuries. I know what it’s like to get hurt, and it’s never fun. No matter what your activity is- competing in sports, going to work, or lifting and playing with your kids- I will always work hard to get you back doing the things you love in the shortest amount of time possible.

Education:

I went to USC where I earned my B.S. in Exercise Science. I completed my chiropractic training at the Southern California University of Health Sciences, and I am certified in Applied Kinesiology. I worked at the Cal State Northridge rehabilitation clinic, treating patients with severe spinal cord injuries. I’ve taught several balance and mobility classes, and I’ve continued to treat several athletes throughout my career, including rugby players, golfers, pro MMA fighters, pro surfers, high school and pro football athletes, baseball players, and more!

Family:

My wife (Deanne) and I are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Annika and Nadia, and our son, Cyrus- he’s a handsome devil. We live in Ladera Ranch.
